Rainbow Hair Chalking

I love brightly coloured hair but I don't have it because:

A) I'm not brave enough

B) I have a customer facing job!

So I decided to experiment with chalks or more precisely soft pastels, you can buy chalk that is especially made for hair but it is more expensive, I used soft pastels from an art shop to create my rainbow hair! My hair is very light so I didn't need to use water to get a good colour payoff, I literally just brushed the pastel on, but you can spritz your hair with water first if you have darker hair and want the colour to last longer. You can also use straighteners/ tongs to seal the colour in when finishing. Mine washed out after 2 washes, obviously if you use water first the colour will last longer.

Before you start make sure your soft pastels are NON TOXIC and DO NOT breathe in the dust! You will need gloves and old clothes you don't mind getting dirty when chalking, the colour may transfer onto clothing and bedding so wear darker colours. Don't use oil pastels they will make your hair a horrible sticky mess!! Make sure your hair is product free.

I love my rainbow hair !

Dark and Lovely Ultra Cholesterol

This is awesomeness ( Its ok awesomeness is a real word I looked it up ;) )

I have been bleaching my hair since I was 15 and its recently hit an all time low, it kind of looks like mown grass in a heatwave.

I've used many expensive conditioning treatments to try to get it back into shape but I've finally admitted to myself that bleach is BAD TIMES!

During my lunch break I was browsing the shelves of Boots for a little gem that might help my sad locks when I found Dark and Lovely Ultra Cholesterol and a snip at £1.99 it would be rude not to!

The conditioner is described as an' intensive treatment for damaged, relaxed and colour treated hair'. The scent is subtle yet pleasant, the colour however is a crazy flouro yellow!

The directions state to leave it on for 5 to 7 minutes for deep conditioning so I decided to leave it on for an hour .... obviously you should always follow the instructions *waves finger* !!

When washing the conditioner out I could already tell a difference in the texture of my hair and when I went into work the next day my colleague commented on how great my hair looked.

Ideal , thumbs up from me!

Lush American Cream Conditioner Review

I have recently rekindled my love for Lush's American Cream. After a considerable over- use in my uni years which created quite a build up in my hair, one sniff last week on my visit to Lush and I was hooked yet again! The conditioner contains fresh strawberries and vanilla pod infusion which gives it, its dreamy scent, which luckily stays around for a few hours after washing. The conditioner is a fairly thick consistency and very moisturising ideal for me as my hair type is dry ( probably due to the repeated use of peroxide) so I'm able to use it liberally especially on the dry ends. If you have oilier hair you may find you only need to use a small amount of product. I'm definitely glad I repurchased this... oh how I've missed it!

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette Review

To be honest if you own this you could do away with all your other eyeshadows! It has everything you need whether its a subtle work look or a smoky eye for the evening. I do love a good matte shade they give a beautiful depth to the eye and gives a really polished and sophisticated look, and as ever with Urban Decay the pigmentation is fantastic and there's no chalky matte residue you can get with some matte shades. Since I've owned this I've worn it EVERYDAY its probably the best make up item I've ever purchased *chufty badge*  Also its so dinky so perfect for travel!

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

Om nom nom! Now, firstly I must tell you my lips are a pain, I'm constantly told off by the boy for picking them (I knows that sounds icky) but they are incredibly dry and flaky. Normally I use a selection of lip balms to counteract this, so when I saw this I thought I'd give it a go...and om nom nom indeed! You simply rub it into your lips and lick it off (it tastes as fab as it smells!) the sugar in the scrub ex foliates the lips and the oil that is left conditions, then just pop a bit of lip balm on. I used this about midday and its now almost 7pm and no flakes have arisen, normally Id be applying balm a couple of times an hour, so this is fab!

Models Own Orangeade Lipstick

Orange is a colour I wouldn’t normally wear, I'm a coral girl, coral I find compliments my skin tone. But I wanted to try something a bit different! This is the first Models Own lippy I've bought, I have a couple of their nail polishes and found them quite good. The lipstick is from their 'matt brite' range, when swatched its not completely matt it has has a slight glossy sheen, also its not a stark (I knows it looks neon in the piccy!) orange and its very wearable. I'm really impressed with the application and consistancy and its fantastic value at a mere 6 English pounds! This may have been the start of my orangey quest!

Temple Spa Peace Be Still Review

This stuff is a dream! Its described as a calming skin balm which soothes sensitive or irritated skin. Ingredients include vitamin b, lemon, nutmeg and coriander, the fragrance is beautiful and smells completely natural there’s no icky chemical smell or pot pourri up-you-nose overpowering floral scent you can get with so many body lotions. The consistency looks thick but melts instantly into the skin creating a velvety texture. You can use this product on your face, body and hands so its really versatile.

You definitely get a real sense of luxury when using this product it is fantastic quality, when I have some more pennies I'm looking forward to trying some of Temple Spas other products!
